Job Introduction

The Groundforce Head of Finance is dynamic and influential role at the heart of the division, where you''ll work closely with the Managing Director and Senior Leadership Team to shape key business decisions and drive performance. As a trusted business partner, you''ll bring insight, challenge, and strategic support across the division-helping to turn data into direction and strategy into action.You''ll take the lead on commercial analysis, KPI reporting, planning and budgeting, while also tackling a variety of high-impact projects that keep the business moving forward. In addition, you''ll head up the divisional finance team, inspiring and developing talent, and act as a vital link with group finance to ensure seamless collaboration.This is a high-profile position where no two days are the same-perfect for someone who thrives on influence, leadership, and making a real difference to business success.Key Responsibilities

Build strong relationships across the division, improving financial awareness and ownership of performanceAct as the lead finance partner to the Divisional MD and leadership team, influencing strategy and driving resultsProvide clear, forward-looking financial analysis to support growth, investment, and efficiencyTranslate complex data into simple, actionable insights for decision-makingLead the finance team, ensuring accurate reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and analysisEvaluate business cases and investment proposals with robust financial modellingSupport the MD with reports and presentations for senior leadership and the Plc BoardPartner closely with Group Finance and the Shared Service Centre to ensure consistency and alignmentChampion process improvements, automation, and stronger financial controls across the divisionMentor and develop the finance team, building a high-performance cultureEnsure compliance with internal policies and external regulationsWhat We''re Looking For

A qualified CIMA/ACCA accountantProven experience of working in partnership with both senior non-financial and financial managersExperience operating in a senior leadership rolePassionate about driving business change and being able to add valueAmbitious, driven and able to work successfully on own initiativeExperience in leading cross functional collaborationProven ability to manage deadlines and concurrent challenges effectivelyExperience of working effectively during periods of organisational changeSound modelling and analytical skillsProven IT skills, utilising various systems and reporting platforms. Excel to an advanced level. Experience of Power Pivot and Tableau desirable but not essentialExcellent communication skillsWhat We Can Offer You
