Head of Finance Location: Derbyshire (Office Based, 5 Days per Week)Hours: Full Time, PermanentReporting to: Managing Directors The Opportunity A successful and growing family-owned business in Derbyshire is seeking a commercially minded Head of Finance to lead the finance function and support the next phase of growth. This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced finance professional who enjoys operating across all areas of finance, from day-to-day operations through to strategic planning. Working closely with the Managing Directors, you will provide financial leadership, commercial insight and support key business decisions. For the right individual, there is a genuine opportunity to progress into a Finance Director role. Key Responsibilities Financial Management Lead the finance function and oversee daily financial operations. Produce accurate monthly management accounts and reporting. Prepare budgets, forecasts and cashflow projections. Monitor working capital and overall business performance. Deliver financial analysis and commentary to support decision-making. Develop and maintain effective financial controls and processes. Reporting and Compliance Manage year-end accounts and liaise with external accountants and auditors. Oversee VAT returns and statutory reporting requirements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Maintain accurate financial records and reporting systems.
