Head of Finance

Location: Central London, hybrid (2 days per week on site) Contract: Fixed-term contract, 3 months (with the opportunity to become permanent) Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week Pay: £62,000 per year Start Date: ASAP Prospectus is delighted to be supporting our client, an international development focused charitable organisation, in the search for an interim Head of Finance. This role is a holistic finance position, providing a fantastic opportunity for an experienced leader to make an immediate and meaningful difference in an impactful organisation. Key Responsibilities: Lead the organisation''s finance function, ensuring accurate financial management, strong governance, and effective decision-making. Prepare and oversee budgets, forecasts, cashflow projections, and management accounts to support organisational planning and performance. Manage the full lifecycle of grant and contract finances, including budget monitoring, reporting, compliance, and audit support. Provide financial insight and strategic advice to senior leadership, supporting long-term sustainability and growth. Produce clear and timely financial reports for senior leaders, trustees, funders, and other stakeholders. Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, invoicing, payments, and banking activities.
