      <description>Location: Cheshire | Salary: 700.00-700.00 Daily | Type: Permanent | I am currently recruiting for an experienced Interim Head of Finance - Adults to provide strategic financial leadership to a local authority''s Adult Social Care directorate. The role will be paying £700 p/day and will be for 6 months.  Key responsibilities  Lead financial management, planning, forecasting and budget monitoring across Adult Social Care. Provide strategic financial advice, challenge and assurance to senior officers and elected members. Oversee a significant and complex Adult Social Care budget, including demand-led expenditure and placements. Lead the development and delivery of savings, efficiencies and financial recovery plans. Ensure robust financial governance, risk management and internal controls. Prepare and present high-quality financial reports and recommendations for senior management and members. Lead and develop the Adult Social Care finance function.  The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with substantial senior-level local government finance experience, ideally with significant experience within Adult Social Care.
