Head of External Reporting

HFG are currently working with a international insurance business who are looking for a Head of External Reporting to lead their external reporting function and play a key role in delivering high-quality financial reporting, governance, and regulatory compliance across the Group.Key Responsibilities for this Head of External Reporting role include:Lead the preparation and delivery of the Group''s statutory financial statements in accordance with IFRS and applicable regulatory requirements.Oversee all external financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely delivery.Manage the year-end and interim reporting processes, coordinating with internal teams and external advisers.Lead the relationship with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and governance expectations.Monitor changes in accounting standards and assess their impact on the business.Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing external reporting team.Partner closely with Finance, Tax, Treasury, Risk, and other senior stakeholders across the business.Drive continuous improvement across reporting processes, controls, and systems.Support strategic projects, acquisitions, and wider finance transformation initiatives.Experience required for this Head of External Reporting role include:Knowledge of financial reporting requirements, and GAAP and Statutory Accounting PrinciplesACA/CA qualified, ideally big four ..... full job details .....
