Head of Engineering

MMP Consultancy is seeking an experienced Head of Engineering for an interim opportunity based in South East London. This is an initial 3-month contract with the potential for extension, offering a hybrid working arrangement of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. This is an interim position paying 500pd inside of IR35.Working within Asset Management, you''ll lead the strategic delivery of engineering, compliance and building safety services across a large residential portfolio. This is a senior leadership role responsible for mechanical and electrical services, gas, heating, lifts, fire safety, water management, procurement, contract management and statutory compliance. You''ll work closely with senior stakeholders to drive service improvement, manage risk and ensure the effective delivery of major investment and compliance programmes.Responsibilities:Lead the delivery of engineering, compliance and building safety services across the housing portfolio.Develop and implement strategies covering lifts, electrical systems, gas, heating, fire safety, water management and CDM compliance.Provide strategic leadership on asset compliance and engineering matters.Manage and develop a high-performing professional team, driving service excellence and continuous improvement.Lead the development and implementation of policies, procedures and technical standards.Oversee major contracts and ensure effective contract management arrangements are in place.Drive procurement ..... full job details .....
