Head of Engineering£80,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance + BonusHybrid Manchester We are working with a leading organisation in the residential sector who are seeking a highly skilled Head of Engineering to take ownership of their Mechanical and Electrical operations across a large UK estate. With 30+ residential sites and a strong in-house engineering function, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced leader with strong Mechanical expertise to step into a high-profile role. The Role As Head of Engineering, you will: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of six Regional Engineers/Supervisors who oversee site-level maintenance and contractor management. Oversee delivery of all planned and reactive maintenance across the estate, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, safety standards, and best practice. Drive optimisation of MandE assets, with a strong focus on Mechanical systems. Manage and deliver capital expenditure projects, from survey and scoping through to completion. Oversee service desk operations, ensuring SLAs are met and downtime is minimised. Liaise with development teams on new-build projects, influencing MandE design standards and ensuring smooth handover into operations. Manage budgets, reporting monthly performance against spend and ensuring value through contractor and supplier management.
