Experience in employee relations and handling complex people issues.Understanding of employment law and the ability to explain it clearly to others.Able to build trust quickly and work well with staff, unions, and senior leaders.Experience leading a team with warmth and clarity.A commitment to ongoing learning and service improvement.Main duties of the role

Lead a small, dedicated team who provide advice and support to staff and managers.Shape how we handle employee issues to be fair, open, and inclusive.Collaborate with managers, trade unions, and staff networks to resolve problems early and positively.Keep up to date with employment law and best practice so staff feel protected and respected.Support and develop managers so they feel confident dealing with people matters.Use data and feedback to identify areas for improvement and take action.Why it matters

Qualifications

Essential: Degree plus master’s level qualification or equivalent specialist experienceEssential: Evidence of continued professional developmentExperience

Essential: Experience designing and delivering training to managers on people management issuesEssential: Knowledge of current employment legislation and best practice in ER policies, principles, and proceduresEssential: Significant experience advising stakeholders on employee relations issues, balancing legal compliance with business needsSkills and Knowledge
