Head of Education Planning, Resources and Sustainability

Interim Head of Education Planning West London £600-£700 per day Hybrid Working We are recruiting for an experienced Interim Head of Education Planning for a Local authority in West London, leading a key portfolio across School Organisation, Public Consultation and School Place Planning. Key Responsibilities Lead strategic School Organisation and Place Planning across the borough. Lead complex public and statutory consultation processes. Manage school organisation proposals including expansions, amalgamations, PAN reductions and changes to provision. Lead mainstream and SEND sufficiency planning. Use pupil forecasting and demographic data to inform future provision. Work closely with schools, communities, the DfE, senior officers and elected members. Provide strategic advice and reports for Cabinet, Scrutiny and senior leadership. Support education estate, resource and financial planning. About You We are particularly interested in candidates with: Senior-level local authority School Organisation / Place Planning experience. Strong experience of public and statutory consultation. Experience managing politically sensitive school organisation change. Excellent stakeholder and elected member engagement skills. Knowledge of education sufficiency, pupil forecasting and relevant statutory requirements.
