Head of Economic Development Location: LondonRate: £600 Per day (Negotiable) Contract: 6 - MonthsSpencer Clarke Group are supporting a local authority within Housing and Regeneration to appoint an Interim Head of Economic Development. This is a senior leadership role focused on shaping regeneration and economic strategy, driving delivery across key opportunity areas, and building a credible pipeline of investment and place-based growth.You will lead a small Economic Development team and work closely with senior stakeholders to develop strategies, masterplans, briefs and business cases that unlock funding and deliver measurable outcomes for residents and businesses.Responsibilities includeLead the design and delivery of borough-wide economic development and regeneration strategyDevelop masterplans, briefs, feasibility work and robust business cases to support investment decisionsBuild partnerships with local business groups and sub-regional and pan-London partners to leverage inward investmentIdentify and secure external funding, including bid coordination and delivery assuranceProvide leadership across governance, budget management, risk, procurement and programme deliveryChampion a fair, vibrant and future-ready local economy, aligned with the Council''s wider prioritiesAbout youSenior leadership experience in economic development, regeneration or place-based growth, ideally in local governmentStrong track record delivering strategy, masterplanning frameworks, feasibility ..... full job details .....
