This role can be offered on a hybrid basis from our Croxley Park office in Watford.

About the role

As Head of Ecommerce Trading, you will take ownership of the performance, optimisation and day-to-day running of our websites. With responsibility for delivering sales and profit growth targets, you''ll develop and implement strategies that drive conversion, improve customer journeys, and create seamless shopping experiences.

You''ll be the key connector across multiple functions - from Marketing and Buying and Merchandising to Supply Chain, Operations and IT - ensuring that products, promotions, content, and service are aligned to our commercial goals.

This is a high-impact role, where your insight, leadership and trading expertise will directly influence the success of our digital channels.

What the role involves:

Online Trading and Performance

Deliver online sales and profit targets across H. Samuel and Ernest Jones websitesLead the creation of budgets, forecasts and trading plans to maximise sales, conversion and AOVDrive actionable insight, KPI reporting and optimisation strategies to improve resultsCustomer Experience

Ensure websites reflect brand values through storytelling, inspirational content and exceptional shopping experiencesCollaborate with Digital Marketing, SEO and Customer teams to grow traffic and customer engagementSite Management and Optimisation

Oversee website content, navigation, product placement and promotionsManage launches of new products, seasonal campaigns and promotional eventsPartner with UX and Product teams to continuously enhance site functionality and customer journeysMerchandising and Product Ranging

Partner with Buying and Merchandising to optimise online product rangesEnsure product content is accurate, compelling and commercially effectiveManage onsite product presentation and visual merchandising to drive conversionCommercial Leadership

Monitor competitors and market activity to inform strategyUse data and analytics to uncover opportunities, optimise performance and shape future plansContribute to Signet''s digital roadmap, working closely with the Director of Customer, IT and Digital Product teamsTeam and Stakeholder Leadership

Lead and develop the Ecommerce Trading team, setting clear goals and driving capabilityBuild strong relationships across internal teams and external partnersEnsure collaboration, agility and best practice across all digital trading activityAbout you:
