Head of Development Management and Major Projects needed in Bournemouth Paying £570.33 per day ref Full time hours on a temporary basisKey ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the Development Management and Enforcement functions, including complex and strategic planning applications from submission through determination and deliveryOversee major development projects of strategic and regional importanceDevelop and maintain effective relationships with development, regeneration, and delivery partners at local, regional, and national levelsEnsure local communities'' needs, concerns, and expectations are understood and fairly represented within the planning processLead service planning, performance management, budget control, and continuous improvement activityManage and report Section 106 contributions, including collection and expenditureLead the preparation, implementation, monitoring, and review of development management policies and wider planning strategiesEnsure effective coordination with building control and other related disciplinesRepresent the Planning Service at committees, stakeholder forums, and external working groupsChampion social value, sustainability, and high-quality place-makingCreate a positive learning environment through delegation, mentoring, coaching, and development of staffEnsure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and procedural requirementsIf you are interested in the role, please email your CV to quoting the reference number.
