The college was graded Outstanding by Ofsted in January 2024 across all key areas, including Quality of Education, Leadership and Management, and Personal Development.This exciting leadership opportunity will involve overseeing a diverse and successful Visual Arts curriculum area, including:Art and DesignFilm and Content ProductionFashion DesignGraphic DesignPhotographyThe successful candidate will provide strategic leadership across the curriculum area, ensuring high-quality teaching, outstanding learner outcomes and a first-class student experience for learners aged 16-19. The role includes approximately 10 hours of teaching per week, predominantly within Art and Design.Initially offered on an interim basis to support a smooth handover with the current postholder, the organisation would also consider a temporary-to-permanent arrangement for an exceptional candidate.Your new roleAs Head of Curriculum, you will:Lead and manage the Visual Arts curriculum area.Drive outstanding teaching, learning and assessment.Lead curriculum development and quality improvement initiatives.Monitor learner progress, attendance, retention and achievement.Oversee self-assessment and quality improvement planning.Manage, support and develop curriculum staff.Lead on student support, pastoral processes ..... full job details .....
