Head of Credit Control
to lead their credit control department.You will ensure compliance with the Finance Group Directive for Credit and Collection, oversee risk management, and maximise cash flow while maintaining strong customer relationships.This is a key leadership role that requires balancing commercial needs with financial risk management.Key Responsibilities:Set cash targets and manage the team to achieve themEnsure compliance with credit policies, insurance requirements, and financial directivesBuild strong relationships with key customers and internal stakeholdersDevelop and coach team members to create a high-performing, self-managing teamDrive continuous process improvements across departmentsCollaborate with sales, customer service, insurers, and the Board of DirectorsWhat We’re Looking For:Qualifications and ExperienceMember of the Institute of Credit ManagementProven track record in financial risk assessment and achieving stretch targetsStrong leadership experience in credit control and collectionsProven team management experience and experience of developing a high performing teamSAP experience is essentialSenior credit experience in a UK Construction companyPreferably senior credit experience in a UK Plant Hire / Construction Hire companySkills and AttributesStrong communicator with excellent negotiation skillsStrategic thinker with a proactive approach to risk and compliancePassionate about developing people and improving business processesHigh integrity, reliability, and a strong work ethicWhat''s in it for you:For the right candidate, this is a highly autonomous role, reporting to an experienced Finance Director, in an established, profitable, growing, national business.
