Head of Core Banking SystemsLondon6 month contract Inside IR35Head of Core Banking Systems needed for a leading financial organisation based in London for a 6 month contract, who are looking to employ an experienced Head of Core Banking systems to act as the expert on core banking systems with an in-depth knowledge of core banking platforms, ideally SBS/SOPRA to act as the expert on core banking systems with approximately 10 years+ experience in banking architecture, core banking engineering, or solution architecture.Some of the main duties of the Head of Core Banking Systems will include: Review, challenge, and steer decisions relating to the core banking platform, with a primary focus on SOPRA/SBS. Provide architectural and technical guidance for all core banking components and integrations. Evaluate, critique, and challenge proposals from partners and suppliers (e.g., Sopra, Atos). Configure and optimise the banking engine while maintaining strong understanding of product functionality. Lead digital, cloud, and AI driven integration strategies within the core banking estate. Promote and support event driven architectures and AWS aligned, cloud native pat-terns. Support large scale integration and migration efforts, including legacy system conversion. Drive end to end architectural oversight across build, test, and release cycles. Work collaboratively with Enterprise Architecture, Programme Managers, System Integrators, and delivery teams.What you need to be the successful ..... full job details .....
