Talentmark is supporting a leading healthcare and pharmaceutical organisation in the search for a Head of Compounding Operations to lead an MHRA-licensed aseptic compounding facility. This will be a permanent, on-site role. An excellent opportunity for an experienced GMP and aseptic operations leader to shape the future of a critical pharmaceutical manufacturing function.
This is a key leadership role requiring a proven senior leader with extensive experience in aseptic manufacturing, GMP-regulated operations, and operational excellence. You will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, driving performance, and supporting a significant site relocation programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aseptic compounding operations within an MHRA-licensed facility.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, MHRA regulations, and quality standards.
- Drive production planning, capacity management, and operational performance.
- Lead quality initiatives including validation, environmental monitoring, CAPA, and audit readiness.
- Manage budgets, forecasting, and continuous improvement programmes.
- Develop and inspire high-performing teams through coaching and succession planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across Quality, Pharmacy, Clinical Operations, and Supply Chain.
- Support the successful delivery of a major site relocation project.
- Degree qualified in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent.
- Significant senior leadership experience within pharmaceutical manufacturing, aseptic processing, or sterile production environments.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, aseptic operations, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven experience leading large operational teams and driving organisational change.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
- Experience managing audits, quality systems, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Named Production Manager experience on an MHRA licence.
- Lean or Six Sigma qualification/exposure.
