Job Description - Head of Civils (Water/Infrastructure - Telecoms)
Location: Livingston, Scotland
Contract: 6 months+ (Outside IR35)
Sector: Water / Utilities / Telecoms Infrastructure
The Role
We are looking for a Head of Civils to provide strategic and operational leadership across a portfolio of water and telecoms infrastructure projects. You will oversee all civils delivery, manage senior project teams, and ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Lead the civils function across multiple projects in the water/telecoms sector.
Provide direction, coaching, and leadership to Project Managers and Engineers.
Manage resources, budgets, and schedules to ensure successful delivery.
Drive safety, quality, and environmental standards across all works.
Engage with clients and stakeholders, maintaining strong working relationships.
Support long-term strategy, growth, and innovation within the civils division.
Requirements
Significant leadership experience in civils, utilities, water, or telecoms infrastructure.
Proven track record managing large project teams and multi-million-pound contracts.
Strong commercial acumen and contractual knowledge (NEC advantageous).
Chartered Engineer (ICE or equivalent) desirable but not essential.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
