Head Of CDM / Principal Designer (PD) Services

OverviewHead of CDM / Principal Designer (PD) Services required to lead and grow service delivery for a national building consultancy, specialising in building control, safety and compliance. This is a key leadership role within the consultancy, reporting directly to the Board.

The role requires you to be within commutable distance to their London office.

Responsibilities

Lead the CDM and Principal Designer service line across a diverse portfolio of public and private sector clients.

Act as a trusted advisor to clients, supporting their compliance with CDM 2015 Regulations from concept through to completion.

Manage, mentor and grow a team of CDM and PD professionals across multiple offices.

Develop strategic relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally.

Drive technical excellence, innovation and continuous improvement across Health and Safety delivery.

Ensure robust governance, quality assurance and risk management systems are in place.

Qualifications and Memberships

Chartered or Incorporated status with a relevant professional body (e.g., IOSH, APS, RICS, CIOB) preferred.

Degree/Diploma qualifications in a relevant subject i.e. Health and Safety, construction, design.

Experience

A proven track record in delivering CDM (2015) / Principal Designer services on complex construction and property projects.

Proven leadership, team management and business development skills.

Experience working in a consultancy or client-side role (preferred).
