With a strong emphasis on innovation and operational excellence, the organisation continues to invest in its engineering capability to support a modern and efficient fleet.Your new roleAs Head of Bus Fleet Engineering, you will lead the Bus Fleet Engineering function, ensuring the delivery of a safe, reliable and well-maintained fleet of buses, coaches, BRT vehicles and support vehicles in line with operational, regulatory and financial requirements.Reporting to the General Manager of Engineering, you will act as the professional lead for the department. You will drive performance, lead major change programmes and embed a culture of safety, customer focus and continuous improvement across the engineering function.Key responsibilities include:Leading and managing the Bus Fleet Engineering Department across a multi-depot operationEnsuring fleet safety, reliability, availability and presentation meet required standardsDriving continuous improvement through lean methodologies and performance managementManaging industrial relations, including proactive trade union engagementOverseeing engineering systems, maintenance policies and regulatory complianceDeveloping and managing budgets and capital investment plansDelivering complex engineering projects aligned to business strategyManaging supplier relationships, contracts and ..... full job details .....
