Head of Building Safety

We are seeking an experienced and influential Head of Building Safety to lead our building safety function and ensure the effective management of a residential buildings portfolio. This is a pivotal leadership role where you will drive our building safety strategy, ensure compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022, and champion a culture of safety across the organisation. Working closely with senior leaders, regulators, residents, and external partners, you will play a critical role in protecting customers, safeguarding assets, and delivering regulatory excellence. What you''ll do Lead the development and delivery of our Buildings Safety Management Strategy, ensuring alignment with current legislation, regulatory requirements, and industry best practice. Provide strategic oversight of a portfolio of 400+ high-rise residential buildings, ensuring residents remain safe and risks are effectively managed. Drive compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022 and associated regulations, acting as a subject matter expert on building safety and higher-risk buildings. Lead the development, maintenance, and submission of Safety Case Reports, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met. Oversee comprehensive building safety risk assessments, identifying hazards, evaluating risks, and implementing effective mitigation measures.
