Job Title: Head of Asset Strategy and Investment Type: Permanent Location: Newport (agile working) Salary: circa £70,000Hours: Full Time - 37 hours per week An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Asset Strategy and Investment to lead the strategic management and investment of a large housing portfolio. The role will play a key part in ensuring residents have access to safe, high-quality and sustainable homes, while maximising the value and performance of existing housing assets. This senior leadership position offers the opportunity to shape long-term asset investment strategies, drive service improvements and deliver significant investment programmes that make a real difference to customers and communities. The role and responsibilities As Head of Asset Strategy and Investment, you will lead the planning and delivery of housing investment programmes, ensuring compliance with the Welsh Housing Quality Standard (WHQS) 2023 and all relevant regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities will include: Leading the development and delivery of long-term asset management and investment strategies. Overseeing more than £22 million in annual investment activity, ensuring effective financial management and value for money. Using asset data, stock condition surveys and performance modelling to inform investment decisions and improve efficiency.
