Head of Additional Learning Support (ALS) Full-Time 37 Hours per Week Surrey Our client, a well-established and forward-thinking further education college in Surrey, is seeking an experienced and inspirational Head of Additional Learning Support (ALS) to lead its inclusive learning support provision. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced SEND professional who is passionate about improving outcomes for learners with additional needs. Working closely with senior leaders, you will play a key role in shaping the organisation''s SEND strategy, leading a dedicated team, and ensuring every learner receives the support they need to succeed. The Opportunity As Head of ALS, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for Additional Learning Support services, ensuring high-quality, compliant, and student-centred provision. You''ll lead the development of inclusive practice across the college while working collaboratively with curriculum teams, parents, local authorities and external agencies. Key responsibilities include: Leading and developing the Additional Learning Support team. Driving the college''s SEND strategy and continuous improvement initiatives. Overseeing High Needs provision, EHCPs and Exam Access Arrangements. Ensuring compliance with SEND legislation, JCQ regulations and funding requirements.
