Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Head of Accounts to lead our finance team and support the business''s strategic objectives.The RoleReporting directly to the Managing Director, the Head of Accounts will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company''s financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial controls, and effective management of the accounts team.This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional with strong Sage Accounting and Microsoft Excel skills who thrives in a fast-paced engineering environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, manage, and develop the accounts team.Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.Oversee purchase ledger, sales ledger, payroll, VAT returns, and bank reconciliations.Manage company cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasting.Maintain and optimise Sage Accounting systems.Produce detailed financial analysis and reporting using Microsoft Excel.Monitor project costing and profitability across engineering contracts.Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and accounting standards.Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and financial institutions.Support senior management with ..... full job details .....
