Head Legal Cashier

Head Legal Cashier West Sussex Full-Time A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Head Legal Cashier to join its senior management team. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the firm''s financial operations, ensuring compliance with SRA Accounts Rules and supporting the continued growth and efficiency of the business. Key Responsibilities Manage all office and client account transactions Ensure compliance with SRA Accounts Rules, AML regulations and statutory requirements Oversee banking, payments, reconciliations and financial controls Manage month-end processes, VAT returns, financial reporting and WIP valuations Liaise with external accountants and manage annual audits Monitor aged debt and assist fee earners with financial performance reporting Process Legal Aid claims and oversee payroll administration Support the firm''s COFA and drive continuous improvement across financial systems and procedures Lead and develop the Accounts Department About You Proven Legal Cashier experience within a law firm Strong knowledge of Solicitors'' Accounts Rules and legal accounting practices Experience with VAT, payroll, financial reporting and audit preparation Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills ILFM Membership/Fellowship preferred What''s on Offer?
