Head Chef – Children''s Nursery

Location: Norwich City Centre
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:45am–3:30pm

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a passionate and organised Head Chef to join a children''s nursery in Norwich city centre, catering for children from birth to five years old.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef seeking a rewarding role with excellent work-life balance, offering sociable daytime hours and no evening or weekend work.

• Prepare fresh, nutritious and age-appropriate meals for babies, toddlers and preschool children.
• Plan menus that promote healthy eating and accommodate allergies and dietary requirements.
• Maintain excellent food hygiene, kitchen cleanliness and safety standards.
• Manage food ordering, stock control and kitchen budgets.
• Work closely with nursery staff to support children''s nutritional needs.

• Previous experience as a Head Chef, Chef Manager or experienced chef.
• Knowledge of food hygiene, allergen management and safe food preparation.
• Passionate about nutrition and providing quality meals for young children.
• Organised, reliable and confident managing a kitchen independently.
• Enhanced DBS

Experience in a nursery, school or childcare setting would be advantageous.

• £30,000 annual salary.
• Monday to Friday, 7:45am–3:30pm.
• No evenings or weekends.
• Week off at Christmas.
