Head Chef

Head chef required for a Pub looking to launch a food menu. They will have a pizza oven and will be doing small plates (around 8 small plates on the menu). To start with it will be this person and a part time kitchen assistnt and once the food takes off they will have two in the kitchen. The small plates will be serviced wednesday to saturday and on a sunday they will do a roast lunch. Head chef 38k, will need to drive. The role As a head chef you will run the kitchen, you will place the food orders, help create the menus which will include some specials and seasonal items, you will create a sunday menu that locals will love and also create the small plate menu at a price point of around 15-17 for a small plate. This is a very hands on role for the head chef and will include all the standard head chef duties. Experience We are looking for a head chef from a fresh food background at head chef or sous chef level. you will be able to create menus based around small plates and understand the local market. you will also have knowledge of sunday roast menus. you must have food hygiene, level 2 in food, good knife skills. head chef Pub launch a food offering within this pub need to drive driving distance of colchester and Braintree 38000 ..... full job details .....
