Head Chef - East Lothian
Salary: £40,000 basic + circa £5,000 TRONC per annum
Hours: 48 hours per week
Location: East Lothian
We are recruiting an experienced Head Chef for a well-established hospitality venue in East Lothian. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a stable kitchen operation in a supportive environment with strong standards and a genuine focus on food quality.
The kitchen is modern, well fitted and well maintained, allowing you to focus on delivering great food. The business is professionally run with realistic expectations and a positive working culture.
The Role
- Lead and manage day-to-day kitchen operations
- Maintain high standards of food quality and consistency
- Manage kitchen team rotas, training and development
- Control GP, stock, wastage and ordering
- Ensure compliance with food safety and health & safety standards
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or strong Senior Sous ready to step up
- Calm, organised leadership style
- Passion for fresh food and quality produce
- Strong kitchen management and cost control skills
- Ability to thrive in a busy, professional kitchen
