A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and creative Head Chef to lead the kitchen of a new independent boutique hotel set in the heart of Somerset, launching in late September 2025.
This is a chance to lead a passionate, forward-thinking team from its inception of a bold new hospitality project. The kitchen will operate to a multi-rosette standard, with a strong emphasis on local, seasonal ingredients, and will feature an extensive outdoor kitchen supporting an additional fire-led, open-air dining concept.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and develop the kitchen brigade, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality, modern British cuisine.
Design and implement innovative, seasonal menus focused on local Somerset produce.
Oversee all aspects of kitchen management, including supplier relations, stock control, health andamp; safety, and costings.
Deliver an exceptional guest experience through culinary creativity, precision, and leadership.
Candidate Requirements:
Proven experience as Head Chef or Senior Sous at multi-rosette or michelin level.
Passion for farm-to-table, seasonal cooking and provenance-led menus.
Experience managing teams, developing junior chefs, and operating with autonomy.
Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor kitchen environments.
Strong organisational skills and a hands-on, can-do attitude.
