Harness Design Engineer Warwick £40,000 - £50,000 VIQU have partnered with a leading engineering organisation seeking a Harness Design Engineer to join their Electrical Engineering Team. This hands-on role will focus on the concept development, routing, design, and validation of low and high voltage harness systems for future vehicle platforms, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure robust, manufacturable designs are delivered to cost, quality, and timing targets. Key Responsibilities of the Harness Design Engineer: Develop concept designs and detailed layouts for LV and HV harness systems and electrical component packagingTake ownership of harness routing, including mounting of electrical components, brackets, and associated fittingsIdentify engineering needs, define requirements, and support problem definition through concept to deliveryCreate and maintain 3D harness designs using SolidEdge (or similar) in line with engineering standards and ISO practicesSupport engineering change control activities, including documentation and design updatesWork cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, Aftermarket, and Sales to ensure all design requirements are metDrive Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) best practice across harness and component designsProvide support through product launch, including resolving build issues and supporting integration activitiesEnsure quality and environmental procedures, records, and documentation relevant to the role are ..... full job details .....
