Hardware System Sizing (Mechanical Engineering)
Responsibility: Hardware sizing powertrains for the vehicle attribute requirements that meet the demands from the market demanding conditions Understand the market benchmarking and technologies associated with and features supporting hybridization (PHEV/MHEV) and electrification architectures. Mechanical integration of powertrain hardware with other vehicle systems, addressing power supply and mechanical interface considerations. Work closely with other teams, including software, electrical, and vehicle integration, to define future requirements that the systems operate in. Contribute to the design and development of propulsion systems for next-generation vehicles, which increasingly focuses on electrification. Must-Have: A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with a strong understanding of mechanical design principles and analysis in the powertrain sizing area for automotive applications Significant knowledge andamp; practical experience of using powertrains Project management, Leadership, and planning skills are essential, along with good teamwork and excellent writing and verbal communication skills. Strategic thinking is also essential.
