This newly created role plays a pivotal part in maximising operational efficiency by acting as a first-stage filter for incoming IT hardware devices—ensuring only the devices that require full engineer review reach the engineering team. The Technical Assessor will be responsible for analysing system-generated diagnostic reports and determining the most appropriate pathway for each device. These pathways may include: Further in-depth engineering review Warranty route Refurbishment Straight-to-quote processing While the role does not require deep technical skills or hands-on repair work, an interest in or general understanding of common laptop components (e.g., screens, batteries, keyboards, mainboards, storage devices) will be highly beneficial.
