Handyperson - Part-time

Job Summary Pleydell Resident Management Organisation, which currently supports 220 residents based in Old Street, London are seeking a skilled and reliable Handyperson to join our team for 21 hours per week. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of technical skills and experience in maintenance, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and part of a team. Strong communication is essential, as you will be interacting with residents regularly. Candidate to start immediately, pending reference checks. Duties Perform general maintenance and repair tasks across various facilities, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry and mechanical work. Ability to communication effectively with tenants and others when required. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times. Conduct regular inspections of communal areas, checking for necessary repairs including lights, door locks, time switches, water tanks, and roofs. Support caretakers when needed with cleaning and general caretaking duties on the Pleydell Estate. Skills Proficient in plumbing, electrics, carpentry and with hands-on experience in repairs and maintenance. Experience in maintenance roles, demonstrating a solid understanding of building systems.
