School Caretaker - (Hounslow)

At Supreme Recruitment, we are currently recruiting for a School Caretaker to join a well-regarded secondary school in Hounslow. This role has become available through our strong partnership with the school, and they are seeking a reliable and experienced caretaker to help maintain the site.

About the role
As a School Caretaker, you will play a key role in ensuring the school premises are safe, secure, and well maintained. You will work closely with the facilities team and oversee both internal maintenance and external contractors.

Key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs
• Opening and closing the school (keyholder responsibilities)
• Ensuring the security of the building and grounds
• Checking heating, lighting, and alarm systems regularly
• Liaising with contractors and monitoring completed work
• Supporting general site upkeep and health & safety compliance
• Ordering equipment and supplies when required

Working Hours:
Rotating shifts:

• 7:00am - 3:00pm
• 11:00am - 6:00pm
  (Monday to Friday)

About you

• Previous experience working within a school or similar environment
• Good maintenance and DIY skills
• Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently
• Strong communication skills
• A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Available to interview and start immediately
