Handyman / Maintenance Assistant

Stride Recruitment are urgently recruiting for a Handyman or Maintenance Assistant-to assist with general maintenance and handyman duties-on-site across the Darent Valley Hospital estates in Dartford, DA2 8DA on an Ongoing Contract or Temp-to-Perm basis.

Type of work:-Handyman-Ongoing Fixed-Contract with potential to go permanent after 12 weeks.

Location:-Darent Valley Hospital, DA2 8DA.-

Rates:-From--16.91-per hour-up to 37.5 hour week, all hours over 37.5 per week-paid-at time and a half. Sundays and Bank Holidays Double pay.

Start:-Immediate interviews & start dates available. PAYE OR CIS. Weekly pay.

Duties and Role:

Working within a team and independently when required adhering-to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary

- Time-served Handyman or Maintenance Engineer-

- Building services maintenance - Ensuring the Hospital runs smoothly by covering all reactive and planned maintenance tasks like but not specific to Fixing sinks, Attaching HSE and Department signage, Unblocking drainage, Building Services checks and department refurbishments.

- All aspects of building maintenance and handyman duties-

- Good communication and customer service skills

- Health & Safety awareness and safe working

The role is offering long term security as well as being easily accessible via public transport and having on site parking, previous experience working in maintenance within a healthcare setting would be preferred but not essential.
