Handyman (Carpentry / Painting Bias) - Canary Wharf - Ongoing Temp (Immediate Start)

Location:-Canary Wharf

Hours of Work: Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm

Hourly Pay Rate: -19.78p/h Via Umbrella

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman with a strong background in either carpentry or painting and decorating to join our growing team in Canary Wharf.-The ideal candidate will be working on a large commerical office space and retail in Canary Wharf. Will need to be experienced in carrying out a variety of maintenance, repair, and refurbishment tasks to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

• General property maintenance and repair work.
• Carpentry tasks including fitting doors, skirting boards, kitchens, shelving, and minor structural repairs.
• Painting and decorating work including preparation, filling, sanding, and finishing.
• Basic plumbing, tiling, and general handyman duties as required.
• Diagnosing maintenance issues and recommending effective solutions.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a professional standard.
• Maintaining a clean and organised work environment.

Key Requirements:

• Must have NVQ Level 2 in either Carpentry or Painting & Decorator
• Proven experience as a Handyman, Carpenter, Painter & Decorator, or similar trade role.
• Strong practical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Good problem-solving abilities and a positive attitude.
• Own tools advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
