About the Role
This permanent role is for a Health, Safety and Fire Advisor covering sites across Scotland, including the Edinburgh and Glasgow regions. The position involves regional travel from a home base, supporting a portfolio of commercial and mixed-use properties. Reporting to the Group Head of Health and Safety, the advisor will collaborate with Facilities and Centre Management teams to deliver practical guidance. Key responsibilities include providing competent fire safety advice and conducting risk assessments. The salary is between £45,000 and £55,000 depending on experience, plus a £6,000 car allowance or company car, fuel card, and an 8% employer pension contribution.

A leading UK property business with a large multi-site portfolio across commercial and mixed-use environments is continuing to invest in the growth of its internal Health, Safety and Fire function, building stronger in-house capability across the UK.
The Role
Reporting into the Group Head of Health and Safety, you will support a portfolio of sites across the South region, working closely with Facilities and Centre Management teams to provide practical Health, Safety and Fire guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake Health and Safety and Fire Risk Assessments
- Review external assessments and provide recommendations
- Support site teams with day-to-day HandS and Fire guidance
- Deliver pragmatic and commercially focused solutions
- Support auditing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Build strong relationships across regional sites
About You
- Experience within Health and Safety and Fire Safety roles
- Comfortable managing a regional multi-site portfolio
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Commercially aware, pragmatic and solutions focused
- Experience undertaking and reviewing Fire Risk Assessments and Health and Safety audits
- Strong working knowledge of UK Health and Safety and Fire Safety legislation
- Proven experience within FM, property or built environment environments
- Ability to work autonomously and manage workload effectively
- Full UK driving licence
Qualifications and Experience
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent, with evidence of continued professional development (CPD)
- NEBOSH or NCRQ Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety desirable
- NEBOSH Fire Safety / Fire Risk Management or Level 3 Fire Risk Assessment qualification desirable
- IOSH membership preferred (CertIOSH minimum or working towards CMIOSH)
