Groupage Operator Location: Tamworth Hours: Monday to Friday, 09 00 Department: Road Freight Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 DOE We are currently recruiting for an experienced Groupage Operator to join a busy European road freight operation based in Tamworth. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, proactive transport professional with experience in European road freight who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service. The Role As a Groupage Operator, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day movement of European import and export groupage shipments, ensuring freight is planned efficiently, trailers are utilised effectively, and customers receive a high level of service. You will work closely with customers, sales teams, warehouse colleagues, transport partners and European suppliers to ensure shipments move efficiently from collection through to final delivery. Key Responsibilities Manage the end-to-end operation of European import and export groupage shipments. Plan and control linehaul movements, ensuring shipments are placed on the first suitable departure. Maximise trailer capacity through effective load planning and consolidation. Liaise with warehouse teams to coordinate the accurate and timely loading and unloading of international trailers.
