This role will work with finance and non-finance teams with support from external tax advisors to implement tax planning and compliance considering the future strategy of the group, group tax policy and local regulations. This role will play an integral part in scaling the tax processes and procedures of a fast growth business. This is an opportunity to make an impact as a qualified tax accountant who thrives on finance change and projects and be responsible for providing best in class tax planning, reporting and compliance through the group companies.DutiesLead the group’s international tax strategy to support the expansion of a fast growth businessWork closely with the finance, sales, legal and other teams to ensure that tax implications and risks of business activities are understood and controlledDevelop tax policies and procedures and own the implementation across the groupKey contact for UK and international tax authorities and auditorsSupport the assessment and maintenance of group transfer pricing policy and ensure it is fit for purpose for all locations globally and documentation is maintained and kept up to dateOwn the annual corporation tax reporting and tax returns, as well as monthly or quarterly indirect tax reporting with support from accounting teamsSupport the Group Financial Controller in the review of group tax position, group structure and implementation of actions to manage the tax risks of the groupSupport or lead ad hoc projects as the team and business expands internationallyRequirements
Ability to apply tax knowledge and skills into a commercial environmentProven experience in UK and international tax for a sizeable group along with a strong tax background from training in practiceQualified tax accountant with solid understanding of financial controls and best practicesExcellent communication skills.
