Group Tax Manager – HeliosX Group
We are seeking a Group Tax Manager to oversee all tax activities in our growing finance team. This is our first dedicated tax hire, offering a significant impact on a rapidly scaling business during international expansion. This full-time, permanent role has hybrid working with on-site presence in Central London twice per week; the remainder is remote.About HeliosX

Manage the global tax compliance timetable and relationships with external tax firms.Oversee global tax returns to ensure timely filing and own the tax payments schedule (with support from outsourcing firms as necessary).Review monthly VAT submissions for the UK group.Prepare/review US sales tax submissions.Prepare/review international indirect tax submissions.Coordinate statutory corporation tax provisions/returns with annual accounts and audit.Prepare monthly corporation tax provision, including ownership of the annual effective tax rate (ETR) forecast.Review tax-related account reconciliations.Review intercompany recharges to ensure adherence to transfer pricing methodology.Support tax-related steps of international expansion, ensuring registrations are completed and ongoing compliance processes are in place in new locations.Coordinate RandD tax credits applications in relevant locations.Lead tax projects such as corporate structure optimisation, transfer pricing methodology refresh, utilisation of tax losses, MandA, and inter-company debt financing.Experience
Who you are
Has worked within a corporate tax environment or tax practice at a public accounting firm.Prior experience of both corporation tax and indirect taxes is desired.Has managed in-house teams or outsourced partners to achieve compliance objectives.Knowledge of UK and US tax regulations is preferable but not required.Experience in-house within a high-growth e-commerce or D2C environment would be a bonus.Skills
Fully qualified accountant or tax professional with at least two years’ post-qualification financial accounting experience.Strong ability to work with complex data; proficient in Excel/Google Sheets.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to balance and prioritise multiple deliverables, using resources pragmatically to achieve goals.Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment independently.Life at HeliosX
