We are seeking an experienced and motivated Group Manager to lead catering operations across a primary and secondary school in Walthamstow. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional with a strong craft background looking for a well-structured role that offers a great workandndash;life balance.
The Role
As Group Catering Manager, you will manage the daily catering services across both sites, ensuring consistently high-quality, freshly prepared food and outstanding service standards.
This is a term-time position (42 weeks per year), offering extended breaks during school holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee daily catering operations across both schools
- Deliver high-quality, fresh food with a focus on craft skills
- Manage budgets, stock control and costings efficiently
- Ensure full compliance with food safety and health andamp; safety regulations
- Recruit, train and develop the catering team
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders
About You
- Proven experience in catering or hospitality management
- Strong craft background (essential)
- Experience in the education sector is desirable but not essential
- Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills
- Financially aware with budget management experience
- Passionate about food quality and delivering excellent service
