OverviewGlennon Brothers is a leading timber processor in the UK and Ireland with a strong growth story. As a leader in the Green Tech industry, Glennon Brothers is a growing, dynamic and innovative organisation with ambitious growth plans. The Group has a track record of awards and acquisitions and serves the UK and Irish markets with products for the construction, pallet wood and fencing industries. It manufactures timber frame homes and engineered roof trusses and operates energy plants. The Group employs over 930 people and is investing in technology and capital projects to support growth.

As the Group prepares for continued growth and investment in the UK and Ireland, Glennon Brothers is expanding its senior management team to appoint a Group Head of Sales Manager.

RoleReporting directly to the joint Managing Directors, this is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic leadership team in developing and executing the strategy to grow the business. The role is responsible for key customer relationships across the business and for leading the growth and development of a high-performing sales team. The successful candidate will implement the Glennon Brothers sales strategy and sales plans, and will be responsible for hitting or exceeding agreed sales targets. As a member of the Senior Leadership team, you will guide the organisation on achieving its goals and milestones. Frequent travel in the UK and Ireland is required.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute the strategic plan to grow the company’s sales.

Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with key accounts and Buying Groups across Ireland and the UK.

Own, hit or exceed annual sales targets and milestones from a personal and company perspective.

Collaborate with Production and Logistics teams to maximise sales, yield and profits.

Report on overall sales performance and key sales metrics.

Contribute to the successful delivery of the Group’s strategy.

Travel extensively within the UK and Ireland to customers and sales teams.

Demonstrate a strong willingness to grow, lead and develop the team and themselves to realise the company’s ambitions.

Ensure the sales process evolves to meet the needs of the business as it grows.

Develop technology plans to enable the sales team to deliver on the overall sales strategy.

Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate is resourceful, results-driven with a strong sense of urgency who can build trusted relationships and develop people. A business degree or relevant qualification is advantageous, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in leading external and internal sales teams in a senior sales leadership role, ideally in the construction sector. Proven track record in exceeding sales targets and acting as a brand ambassador is required. Experience in B2B sales in the construction sector is essential. Experience with ERP/CRM systems is desirable. A detailed role profile will be provided to candidates during the recruitment process.
