Direct message the job poster from TalentedgeTalentedge is supporting an ever-growing business based in Accrington in finding a Group Financial Controller to take ownership of their finance function and a direct reporting team of 5.Working for a business achieved £160m turnover last year, this role is a vital part of the finance team that will assist the Finance Director in achieving all goals set. This role will be full of variety with plenty of challenges to overcome but will be part of a great team (30 in finance in total) and part of a growing business.Key Responsibilities:Responsible for the full month end processManage the team to perform their tasks for month end and drive efficienciesPrepare, challenge and consolidate financial numbersPrepare reports to go to groupReview Balance Sheet reconciliationsWork closely with the Commercial Team, ensuring the process for new business wins will work financiallyWork closely with the Business Change team to get their bespoke, in-house built Ops Portal performing the financial tasks requiredGet involved in a variety of projects involving multiple departmentsTake the lead with the financial auditResponsible for ensuring the preparation of budgets and monthly forecasts are made alongside a presentation to prepare for annual budgetsAssist in completing the transition to a new ERP system - SAPBenefits and package:Company profit bonus scheme – up to 10% annually33 days holiday including bank holidaysAdditional holidays with length of service (up to 38 days inc. bank holidays)Monday – Friday - Option to work 8.30-4.30 or 9.00-5.001 day working from homeFree parkingProgression opportunitiesAd hoc travel to Europe for specific projectsTo be considered for this role, you will have strong analytical skills, ideally an audit background and be qualified (ACA/CIMA/ACCA).Seniority level
