Group Financial Controller - Hotels

Marc Daniels is working with a well-established hospitality business to recruit an experienced Group Financial Controller to lead their finance function. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for a qualified accountant who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-site environment and wants full ownership of financial control, reporting and team management.This role requires the individual to have experience within the hotel/hospitality sector.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the end-to-end finance function, including month-end close, management accounts and statutory reportingPrepare and finalise statutory accounts in compliance with UK GAAP/FRS 101Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all sitesLead the annual budgeting process and ongoing rolling forecastsManage and develop a small finance team, providing mentorship and technical supportAct as key point of contact for external auditors and advisorsPartner with senior leadership and site/operational managers on financial performance and commercial decision-makingDrive improvements to financial controls, systems and processes across the groupRequirementsQualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or QBEPrevious experience in a similar position within the hotel/hospitality sectorStrong technical knowledge of statutory accounts, month-end close and payrollProven experience managing budgeting and forecasting cyclesConfident communicator, comfortable business partnering with non-finance ..... full job details .....
