Group Financial Controller | London based | Salary £100,000 - £120,000 + bonus andamp; equity
I am currently working with PE backed Digital Infrastructure company looking to bring in a Financial Controller and come and support the CFO. My client has recently been acquired and they are looking to grow massively over the next 4 - 5 years. You will be the joining the company at this early stage with the opportunity to build out the finance team.
Some of responsibilities will include;
- Oversee the preparation and delivery of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Manage the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, including VAT, corporate tax, and other relevant taxes.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to the senior leadership team.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide financial analysis to support strategic initiatives, including capital expenditure projects and potential acquisitions.
- Produce regular reports for the PE investors.
- Built, lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Manage team performance and development, ensuring the team has the skills and resources to achieve its objectives.
- Manage the day to day running of the finance function.
- Drive the implementation and optimisation of financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Identify and implement best practices in financial management.
- Manage the relationships with the companies banking partners.
- Assist the CFO with financial due diligence for potential acquisitions.
Qualifications andamp; Experience:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience.
- Proven experience in a senior financial management role.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS and local GAAP''s
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organisation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with financial systems implementation and optimisation. (Essential)
- Experience in managing relationships with PE investors.
