Overview
We are recruiting for a Group Financial Accountant working within the Group Financial Reporting team. This role provides an opportunity to experience the most interesting accounting and financial reporting matters within an acquisitive multi-national group. There is a breadth of opportunities within the role from providing guidance and writing technical papers on complex accounting arrangements, to helping accelerate management reporting and improve forecasting of cash flows and balance sheet items. The successful candidate will support the following key areas of responsibility:Responsibilities
Prepare the monthly accounting adjustments required to deliver the Group consolidated resultsSupport the regional and local finance teams through the monthly group reporting requirementsSupport the preparation of Experian Group statutory results and half-year and year-end external reporting processesWorking with external auditors to ensure achievement of reporting deadlinesProvide ad-hoc guidance on IFRS accounting queries from the regional teamsWork as part of project teams on implementing new financial reporting requirements and standardsIdentify, understand and ultimately resolve impediments to a faster financial closeSupport design and operation of a robust control environment around key Group reporting processesContribute to improvement and automation of controllership processes across the GroupQualifications
Professional Accountancy Qualification (ACA or equivalent)Excellent existing technical knowledge (specifically IFRS)Experience of statutory reporting processes and auditAbout Experian
