Group Buyer

Escape Recruitment are partnering with an established manufacturing client to recruit a Group Buyer responsible for end-to-end purchasing across materials, CAPEX, and indirect spend.This is a fast-paced, hands-on role supporting operational and project requirements while driving supplier performance and cost efficiency. You will work closely with engineering, operations and internal stakeholders, acting as a key point of contact for procurement across the site.The business offers a supportive team environment, ongoing training and CIPS development support, alongside a strong commitment to sustainability and long-term employee development. Key ResponsibilitiesManage end-to-end purchasing activity across site requirementsPrepare RFQs, tenders, and cost comparisonsDevelop and manage supplier relationships and performanceExpedite deliveries to meet operational deadlinesDrive cost reduction and sourcing improvementsSupport lean supply chain initiativesResolve supplier and invoice queriesMentor junior team membersKnowledge and experience required for the role:Proven procurement experience ideally within a manufacturing environmentStrong supplier management and negotiation skillsExperience with tender processes and contract administrationStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skillsERP system experienceCIPS qualified or studying towards (desirable)Full UK driving licenceTeam player with a proactive, positive ..... full job details .....
