Group Assistant Accountant Location: Northampton, Oxfordshire Border Full Time, Permanent Fully Office Based Salary: Up to £35,000 + Study Support 25 holidays + bank holidays SF Recruitment are currently working with a growing and successful business in Northampton who are looking to recruit a Group Assistant Accountant into their Group Finance team. Job purpose: The Group Assistant Accountant supports the Group Finance reporting team in the preparation of management accounts and the maintenance of accurate financial records, ledgers and reconciliations across Group entities. Working within the Group Finance shared-service function, the role provides reliable month-end, cashbook, reconciliation and audit support while developing broader accounting knowledge and capability across the Group. Key Responsibilities - Assist with month-end close and preparation of management account supporting schedules - Prepare and post journals, accruals and prepayments - Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies - Maintain accurate cashbook and bank postings - Assist with daily cash reporting and maintenance of cash flow information - Support intercompany reconciliations across multiple Group entities - Provide information to support Group reporting and consolidation - Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for external audit - Assist with finance process improvements and standardisation - Maintain accurate financial records and ensure strong ..... full job details .....
