Group Assistant Accountant

Morgan McKinley Northern Home Counties are partnering with an established and growing manufacturing business to recruit a Group Assistant Accountant to join its Group Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an AAT-qualified finance professional looking to develop their career within a multi-entity business, gaining exposure to a broad range of accounting activities and Group financial reporting. Reporting to the Group Head of Financial Reporting, you will play an important role in supporting the month-end reporting process, maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring robust reconciliations across multiple Group entities.Working as part of a centralised Group Finance function, you''ll have the opportunity to broaden your technical accounting knowledge, develop your experience and take on increasing responsibility within a growing business. The RoleMonth-End and Management AccountsPrepare and post journals, accruals and prepayments.Support the month-end close process and ensure reporting deadlines are achieved.Assist with the preparation of management account schedules.Investigate accounting queries and discrepancies.Balance Sheet ReconciliationsPrepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations.Investigate and resolve outstanding reconciling items.Ensure reconciliations are accurate, supported and completed within agreed deadlines.Cashbook and Cash ReportingMaintain accurate bank postings and cashbook records.Assist with daily cash reporting and cash ..... full job details .....
