Group Accountant

Role: Group Accountant - 12 Month ContractWe are partnering with an established organisation in the food industry that are seeking a Group Accountant to support the delivery of high-quality financial reporting and help ensure strong financial governance across the business.This position offers broad exposure to group reporting, audit activity, and senior stakeholders. It''s well suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is keen to contribute to process improvements and consistency across finance operations.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of variancesSupport the external audit process, including the preparation of schedules and responding to auditor queriesAssist with technical accounting matters, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and internal policiesReview existing processes and identify opportunities to enhance controls and reporting efficiencyLead on key aspects of the month-end close, ensuring deadlines are met and figures are accuratePlay a key role in maintaining a strong and controlled financial environment across the GroupKey RequirementsQualified AccountantExperience within a group, multi-entity, or audit environmentSolid understanding of financial reporting and internal controlsProven experience with balance sheet reconciliationsExperience supporting audits and preparing relevant documentationProficient in Excel and comfortable using finance systemsPersonal ..... full job details .....
