As a Group Accountant based in Walton-On-Thames, you''ll play a key role in managing financial processes and ensuring accurate reporting across the business. Your work will help maintain the smooth operation of accounting activities within the business.

Description

- Prepare annual statutory accounts for the relevant companies within the Group.

- Ensure statutory accounts are prepared accurately and in accordance with applicable UK accounting standards and legal requirements.

- Maintain appropriate accounting records and supporting documentation.

- Maintaining inter-company ledgers and control accounts.

- Recording and reconciling inter-company transactions.

- Reconciling inter-company balances at least monthly.

- Corporation Tax.

- VAT.

- PAYE and payroll-related taxation.

- National Insurance obligations.

- Managing routine correspondence with HMRC.

- Responding to HMRC enquiries.

- Reviewing payroll information and payroll accounting records.

- Reconciling payroll accounts to the general ledger.

- Reconciling PAYE, National Insurance and other payroll deductions.

Profile

A successful Group Accountant should have:

• A recognised accountancy qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Experience with group consolidations and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.

Job Offer

• Salary ranging from -60,000 to -70,000 dependent on the level of experience.
• 28 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays)
• Office based (5 days)
• Parking Available
• Please note that this position is subject to a contractual notice period of six months for all employees within the Finance function.
